Job description

We're looking for a Project Manager to join our growing team in West Henrietta, NY.

The Position:
The Project Manager is responsible of all facets of a Product Development and / or Sustaining project of significant size and/or high complexity from ideation to industrialization. He promotes proper development process and drives momentum within a global project team.
The Project Manager is the owner of project execution, ensuring alignment, progress, and successful delivery across all stakeholders.
The Day to Day:
  • Plan and structure the project (scope, milestones, roadmap)
  • Drive execution and track progress against objectives
  • Manage resources, risks, and dependencies
  • Report on performance (schedule, cost, quality KPIs)
  • Promote development processes and drive momentum within the cross functional project team
  • Estimate project workloads and commit/hold a team accountable to the schedule, deadlines and budget
  • Foster collaboration in a global environment
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather and define requirements in addition to providing clear reporting and project follow-up
  • Ensure quality by implementing test strategy and correct qualification

What you Bring to Safran:
  • BS Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as an Engineering Project Manager in embedded systems required
  • Experience with Software, Hardware, FPGA, Mechanical, Industrialization, and Manufacturing
  • Familiar with Positioning, Navigation and Timing is a plus
  • Strong fundamental project management knowledge
  • Ability to drive a cross functional team without direct managerial responsibilities
  • Ability to grasp technical ideas and communicate with non-technical team members
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
