POSITION PURPOSE:
Primarily responsible for ensuring pharmacist coverage for all hours of operation in each store.
Additional responsibilities include supporting the division with administrative activities.
Responsible to secure coverage for division pharmacies when pharmacist requests time off.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ensure all pharmacies are staffed during operating hours while maximizing payroll expense, selecting optimal coverage for each opening
Schedule all Float, Relief and Agency Pharmacist to fill open shifts that meets the needs of the business
Develop positive relationships with the pharmacist team, as they will become key individuals in the successful coverage of open shifts
Ensure both the Pharmacy District Manager and the Store director are kept apprised of solutions to staffing emergencies and the scheduling of float pharmacists. Must seek approval/support whenever extra payroll expense will be needed
Confirms coverage for approved time off requests with pharmacists in a timely manner
Provide HR /Payroll the information to properly charge all expenses related to floater and relief pharmacist salaries, including but not limited to employee transfers, division transfers, demotions, promotions, etc.
Administer and implement the planning process for next year's vacation needs and maintain a pharmacist vacation calendar with approved vacations for all pharmacists
Assist Pharmacy District Managers in resolving payroll issues., POA & PIC paperwork, floater pharmacist mileage and expense reimbursements
Pre-screen RX tech applicants and assist in scheduling training at store level
Assist Pharmacy Operations from time to time as requested
Securing coverage for unplanned time off (sick pay, LOA, jury duty, etc.)
Ensuring all floater pharmacists are scheduled the number of hours per week that their salary is based on
Communicating to associate that a PTO will not be covered
Minimizing floater pharmacist downtime and controlling labor expense
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
Education Level: Minimum education for this position is a Technical or Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
Skills and Experiences:
The incumbent must have three years of experience in a customer contact position (retail preferred)
Able to work 8 hours daily from Monday-Friday
Previous pharmacy experience is beneficial
Experience with out of store project/assignment
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and have the ability to prepare documents with a high degree of accuracy and speed
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential to be effective in this position
Organized, highly confidential, possess good follow-up skills as well as good judgment and be able to work independently, set own priorities and handle multiple tasks
Must have the ability to negotiate, persuade and meet all required timelines
Must have a strong sense of urgency and patience
The pay range is $ $20.96 to $31.49 per hour, but no less than the local minimum wage. Starting rates will vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement. Dependent on length of service, hours worked and any applicable collective bargaining agreement, benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation pay (accrued based on hours worked), paid holidays (between 7-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (pension and/or 401k eligibility).

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:
Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment
Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal
Incumbent may use computers, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday
Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
