Experienced Electrical & Life-Safety Systems Technician


CamNet Inc. is looking for self- motivated people with a positive attitude to join our company. They must be able to promote the company, co-workers, clients, and partners.Must be able to represent themselves as a responsible, professional, and driven representative of the CamNet culture at all times.Provide a skill set to recognize issues, communicate all issues with your Project Lead, and take accurate and clear directions.


For this position, we are looking for a candidate with experience as a Electrical & Life-Safety Systems Technician. You will need to be able toread and interpret site plans, work efficiently with the site crews, and represent CamNet well onsite. Project size and scope varies considerably and requires a mix of IT and low voltage skills such as pulling cable, fiber optics, installing cable racks and equipment, wireless access points, cameras, Access Control equipment, etc. (Intrusion systems a plus).


Position Overview


This role is ideal for an installer with hands-on experience in structured cabling, life-safety systems, and technology infrastructure. You will work closely with Project Leads and site teams to deliver efficient, code-compliant, and reliable installations.


Responsibilities include:

  • Reading and interpreting site plans, construction drawings, and system diagrams
  • Installing, testing, servicing, and maintaining low/high-voltage and life-safety systems
  • Pulling and terminating copper and fiber cabling
  • Installing cable pathways, racks, and equipment
  • Installing wireless access points, cameras, access control, and security systems
  • Identifying and communicating jobsite issues clearly and professionally
  • Completing daily job and project documentation
  • Participating in coordination meetings as needed


(Intrusion and life-safety system experience is a strong plus.)


Qualifications / Requirements:


BICSI Certification preferred
Previous experience in construction cabling

Experience with Life-Safety systems preferred.
Strong work ethics, punctuality, and professionalism
Ability to lift heavy objects and work safely in construction and occupied environments
Valid driver's license
Willingness to travel as required
Pass a security/criminal background check

OSHA 10 preferred.
