Division Information

Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, is headquartered in McKinney, TX. Dynacraft is a diversified global manufacturer of PACCAR medium and heavy-duty truck parts sold under the Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF nameplates. For more than forty years, Dynacraft has provided the company's truck manufacturing divisions and PACCAR Parts service parts division with high quality components, subassemblies and specialized services. Dynacraft's manufacturing facilities are located in Louisville, KY, and McKinney, TX. 

Job Summary

The Plant Safety Manager is responsible for implementing and managing safety programs at the Dynacraft Louisville plant to include development and execution of safety strategies. The ideal candidate is proactive, has experience in a manufacturing environment, and effectively collaborates with all stakeholders to develop and promote a culture of safety. This position is based in Louisville, Kentucky and reports to the Division Safety Manager. This position has direct reports; (1) Safety Specialist and (2) Occupational Health Nurses.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the site's safety program, including hazard identification, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Train and support managers and employees on safety practices and accident prevention.
  • Oversee workers' compensation, including reporting, investigations, and claims support.
  • Implement safety improvements in processes, equipment, ergonomics, and PPE.
  • Support risk assessments and collaborate on long-term safety initiatives.
  • Streamline and improve safety processes, including automation where possible.
  • Manage safety committee activities and deliver safety training programs.
  • Maintain emergency preparedness programs and ensure compliance with all regulations.
  • Coordinate with OSHA, vendors, and insurance partners.
  • Benchmark safety programs and support special projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • Five (5) years of closely related industrial safety and health experience
  • Demonstrative multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Must be able to manage quickly changing priorities while meeting deadlines.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health, or related field required.
  • Master's Degree in applicable field preferred.
  • Professional certification in safety, industrial hygiene or hazardous materials preferred.
