SUMMARY OF POSITION
Kinsley is seeking a Safety Professional to join our expanding team. Based out of both our North East, MD and Dagsboro, DE office, this role is responsible for ensuring that all applicable safety requirements are clearly communicated to employees and that work activities comply with established safety standards.
Key responsibilities include conducting site inspections, developing Hazard Analysis Plans and Accident Prevention Plans, reporting and investigating incidents, and providing safety training for employees in the construction industry.
Please note that this position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with Kinsley Construction policies and procedures.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • On-boarding sub-contractors to ensure they comprehend what is required by them on a Kinsley Site.
  • Inspecting job sites and machinery for potential hazards and ensuring compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Conducting investigations into workplace incidents.
  • Facilitate and attend meetings with onsite management to promote workplace safety.
  • Develop training materials that reduce employees' exposure to hazardous materials and situations.
  • Train employees in a range of different topics (confined spaces, trenching & excavating, fall protection, CPR/FA, etc.).
  • Work exceptionally well with employees, customers and business associates at all levels with a professional attitude.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience in construction is preferred.
  • Degree or safety credential preferred.
  • Must be willing to commute to job sites as required.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with the rules and regulations of Workers Comp, OSHA, MSHA, and DOT.
  • OSHA 10 & 30 HR preferred.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
