This role offers a flexible work environment, allowing you to conduct therapy sessions remotely. Our operating hours extend from Monday to Saturday, providing you with the ability to craft a customized schedule that accommodates your lifestyle while meeting the needs of our client base. We offer in-house credentialing services, managing your insurance and patient scheduling, enabling you to focus solely on your clinical practice.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments for individuals, adolescents, families, and groups, evaluating both mental health status and social circumstances.
• Developing individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic care delivery.
• Documenting treatment progress and communicating effectively with other staff members during regular patient rounds and interdisciplinary consultations.
• Providing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based treatment modalities to help clients achieve their therapeutic goals.
• Engaging in case management duties that involve coordination with local hospitals and community resources to enhance the support network available to your patients.
• Timely and ethical record keeping that complies with department standards and regulatory guidelines.

Your work at Safe Harbor will focus on a diverse range of clients experiencing various mental health challenges. You will engage with individuals from different backgrounds and age groups, tailoring your therapeutic approaches to meet their unique needs. This role emphasizes cultural competence and sensitivity, as each client’s experience is shaped by their personal history and social context.

To be eligible for this position, candidates must possess:

• A valid and active license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) issued by the State of Georgia.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a counseling or psychotherapy setting.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
• A commitment to working up to 40 hours per week, providing flexibility to best support client needs.

While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates who have additional training or certifications in evidence-based practices, especially in cognitive behavioral therapy or trauma-informed care. Experience in community-based settings or a strong understanding of ethical practices in mental health care will also be advantageous.

Safe Harbor Therapeutic Center offers a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $100,000 annually, depending on your experience and credentials.
