Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Manager, Flight Operations, you will provide primary clinical leadership, overseeing all aspects of staff education, orientation, and development, while maintaining your competencies as a Flight R.N.

Every day you will manage scheduling, budgets, and quality indicators, conducting clinical reviews, chairing the Clinical Leadership Team, and performing clinical fly-along shifts. You will also assist the Program Director with staffing needs, conflict management, and ensure policy consistency and safety.

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced Flight R.N. with exceptional leadership, educational, and program management skills. You will possess expertise in quality improvement, safety protocols, and the ability to effectively manage staff and drive clinical excellence.

  • Oversees continuing education program with assistance of Clinical Leadership Team, insures and coordinates validations of clinical competencies, including skills and critical thinking.
  • With the Clinical Leadership Team, designs and monitors quality and performance indicators, including data collection tools and processes for collection.
  • Assists Program Director in identifying staffing needs, interviewing and hiring.
  • Designs, implements and evaluates continuing education of staff.
  • Chairs the Clinical Leadership Team: sets meeting agenda, contributes QI monitor information and coordinates action plans with the Medical Director.
  • Maintains constructive relationships with staff members.
Job Requirements

Required

  • Bachelor Degree in Nursing
  • Five (5) years minimum active flight/ground transport experience; Involvement on local, regional or national levels of medical transport associations
  • Experience in a leadership role
  • CMTE (Certified Medical Transport Executive) within three (3) years of hire/transfer date
  • Valid Driver’s License and pass the annual Pre-Check review of their driving record for safe vehicle operations
  • Registered Nurse
  • Certified Flight RN
  • Must maintain currency in all certifications required by CAMTS (Commission for Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems)

Preferred

  • Master Degree MSN
