Job Description

The Strategic Account Manager - Walmart serves as a critical commercial leader dedicated to the Avery Dennison Enterprise Walmart Account, specifically driving the expansion of Intelligent Labels and digital identification solutions across Walmart U.S. and Sam’s Club and suppliers. Reporting directly to the Director, Commercial Leadership, Walmart, this individual is responsible for the strategic architecture and execution of multi-year growth plans that align with Walmart’s EDLC and EDLP philosophies. The Strategic Account Manager - Walmart acts as a visionary partner, leveraging data-driven insights to transition the customer from localized deployments to enterprise-scale programs, ensuring long-term profitability and category leadership. The Strategic Account Manager - Walmart optimizes P&L performance and operational excellence, positioning Avery Dennison as a vital partner in Walmart’s digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

This position is based on-site/hybrid in Bentonville, AR. Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyze RFID capabilities, adoption, and usage across sites, SKUs, and applications to identify expansion opportunities for new and existing clients, developing data-backed recommendations that position RFID as a value-driving business solution.

  • Conduct top-to-top, consultative strategic selling conversations with executive stakeholders and lead customers through the transition from limited deployments to enterprise-scale programs.

  • Track sales performance, deployment metrics (read rates, exception rates), and customer ROI indicators while building dashboards and reporting tools to support account prioritization.

  • Define TAM, build and maintain the sales pipeline, optimize P&L performance, and provide accurate forecasting and reporting to the executive leadership team.

  • Partner with cross-functional partners to align commercial strategy with technical roadmaps, mitigate risks or stalled deployments, and guarantee operational delivery.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 8-10+ years of enterprise B2B sales/account management experience, specifically driving complex RFID, IoT, SaaS, or tech-enabled packaging solutions.

  • Strong background in retail supply chain, smart labels, and large-retailer account management (Walmart/Sam's Club experience strongly preferred).

  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Oracle), BI tools, advanced Excel, and Google Slides.

  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with executive leadership, manage complex enterprise P&Ls, and navigate cross-functional matrix teams.
