Job description

STS Technical Services is hiring VFR Helicopter Pilots (H125 Captain) in Tucumcari, New Mexico.

Position Summary

STS Technical Services is seeking experienced Helicopter Pilots to serve as H125 Captains supporting air medical transport operations in Tucumcari, New Mexico. This is a leadership role where you are responsible for mission execution, crew coordination, and safe flight operations in time-critical environments.

Operational Overview
  • Aircraft: H125
  • Operations: VFR and NVG
  • Instrument rating required
  • 24-hour operations with rotating day and night schedules
  • Schedule: 14 days on, 14 days off
  • Operates under established air medical transport guidelines
Job Responsibilities
  • Serve as Pilot-in-Command for all assigned missions
  • Execute safe and efficient flight operations in accordance with company procedures and aviation regulations
  • Lead and coordinate with medical crews during patient transport missions
  • Assist with loading and unloading of patients and medical equipment when required
  • Support Safety Management System initiatives and operational improvement efforts
  • Represent the operation through professional conduct and community engagement
Qualifications
  • Commercial Helicopter License with Instrument Rating required
  • First Class Medical Certificate required
  • Minimum flight experience:
    • 2,000 total flight hours
    • 1,500 helicopter hours
    • 1,000 Pilot-in-Command helicopter hours
    • 500 turbine helicopter hours
  • Night operations experience:
    • 100 hours unaided, or
    • 50 hours unaided plus 100 hours NVG
  • Maximum body weight of 235 pounds
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
Pre-Employment Requirements
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening
  • Ability to complete physical and functional capacity exam, including lifting up to 100 pounds

  • Off-duty housing provided

  • Aircraft transition training may require a service agreement
