Starting Pay $26.76 per hour plus Shift Differential ($1.50 for afternoon shift & $1.00 for overnight shift)

As a Machine Operator, you are responsible for operating various machines in the production areas while adhering to safety requirements, quality parameters and in-process checks.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Follow detailed partsinstructions and ensure thatprocessing requirements in those documents are completed

  • Recordprocess data as required by standard operating procedures

  • Troubleshoot minor problems with the equipment

  • Inspect parts both visually and dimensionally, use proper measuring equipment

  • Interpret visual specifications to recognize and classify defective material

  • Perform testing and inspection of materials and/or parts throughout the processing sequence

Requirements:

  • Must be flexible to work both afternoon & overnight shifts

  • Must be flexible to work either 8, 10, or 12 hours shifts plus weekends/overtime as needed

  • High School Diploma /GED

  • 1-2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment operating equipment

  • Ability to use measuring devices, such as micrometers and gauges

  • Mechanical interest and aptitude

Essential Tasks:

  • This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment

  • This position requires that the individual is able to lift a minimum of 45lbs. and can maneuver large, cumbersome equipment

  • Required to do data entry and operate a computer at times

  • Required to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle, grip or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms

  • Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch at times

  • Ability to push/pull up to 130 pounds of force

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus when reading

  • Ability to work in environments with hot temperature conditions

  • Ability to operate manufacturing equipment such as forklifts on occasion

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
