What are servers in the restaurant industry?

Servers, also known as waiters or waitresses, are responsible for taking orders, serving food and drinks, and ensuring a positive dining experience for guests in restaurants. To thrive as a Server, you need strong customer service skills, basic math abilities, and knowledge of food safety, often with a high school diploma or equivalent. These roles often require advanced skills, extensive experience, professional certifications, and work in high-stakes environments or industries like finance, healthcare, or law.

What are some typical challenges servers face during busy shifts, and how can they effectively manage them?

During peak hours, servers often juggle multiple tables, special requests, and time-sensitive orders, which can be challenging.
