Job Description
Chino Hills Animal Hospital is a 7 DVM practice, open 7 days a week. We are a fast-paced hospital looking for an experience Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a long-term career and to grow with a practice. Our hospital is fully equipped with in-house laboratory, digital radiography, full anesthesia monitoring, and a fully equipped surgical suite. We recently completed a full remodel of the practice including upgraded equipment and technology, additional exam rooms, and a Pet Resort. Applicants must have a minimum of 3-years' experience as a Veterinary Technician, available to work weekends, and work full-time (40 hours a week).
As a Veterinary Technician you are the primary support to Veterinarians and patients alike. Veterinary Technicians must be able to pay attention to detail, respond quickly and calmly at all times, and maintain the highest quality of patient care and client service.
Duties*:
  • Assist veterinarians where needed.
  • Proper restraint and handling of patients.
  • Surgical prep and assisting.
  • Anesthesiology monitoring.
  • Laboratory skills.
  • Venipuncture.
  • IV catheter placement.
  • Intubations.
  • Injections (IV, IM, SQ).
  • Calculate drug dosages.
  • Maintain necessary logs.
  • Bandaging.
  • Communication skills.
  • Client education skills.
  • Pharmacology knowledge.

Requirements:
  • 3 years Veterinary Technician experience (required)
  • 1-year experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician (required)
  • A high school diploma is required
  • A current RVT license is required
  • A desire to be part of a team

  • Stand/be on your feet up to 8 hours
  • Work weekends
  • Work under pressure
