Job description

Job Title: Associate Veterinarian

Location: Torrance, CA
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Schedule: Flexible (3-4 day work week, including some Saturdays)

Job Summary:

Our Client, voted "South Bay's Best," is an AAHA-accredited and privately owned companion animal practice in Torrance, CA. We are seeking full-time or part-time Associate Veterinarians to join our exceptional team. Opportunities are available for both experienced DVMs and new graduates. This is a great opportunity to work with a cohesive and experienced staff, including RVTs, a full management team, and compassionate professional colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform physical exams, diagnose illnesses, and develop treatment plans

  • Conduct routine and advanced surgical procedures

  • Provide preventive care including vaccinations and wellness exams

  • Educate pet owners on treatment plans, nutrition, and long-term care

  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records

  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff

  • Handle urgent care and emergency cases as needed

  • Follow clinic protocols and ensure compliance with veterinary standards

  • Last appointment scheduled 1 hour before end of shift

Team Support Structure:

  • Dedicated experienced RVT/Technician assigned daily

  • Support from float technicians and technician assistants

  • Additional hospitalization RVT/Technician scheduled daily

  • Dedicated Pharmacy Assistant for medication management

  • Friendly, respectful, and positive work environment

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) - Required

  • Active veterinary license (preferred)

  • Strong clinical, surgical, and communication skills

  • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
