Job description

  • Lead multiple project teams of software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners through design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration
  • Manage and expand relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on software systems design and development
  • Review and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with systems design and development guidelines and standards
  • Provide tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk
  • Provide domain-specific expertise and software systems leadership to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities
  • Drive innovation and integrate new technologies into software systems design projects and activities
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members
  • Design, develop, and deliver next-generation storage platforms in collaboration with Firmware, Hardware, and Storage OS teams
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
  • Typically, 6-10 years’ experience in embedded system design/implementation for Distributed Storage systems
  • Extensive experience with C, Rust, and Python
  • Advanced knowledge of SAS and NVMe protocols
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in overall architecture of software systems for products and solutions
  • Experience designing and integrating software systems running on Intel and AMD into overall architecture
  • Experience with software systems testing methodology, test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools
