Key Responsibilities
  • Write, design, and test API's (both RESTful and graphQL)
  • Design SQL and No-SQL database schemas for various features
  • Utilize numerous technologies such as NATS, OpenSearch, and Postgres when building a feature to provide an optimized user experience
  • Make trade-off decisions to balance the speed of development, the performance requirements of the feature, and the future scalability
  • Be a key contributor in establishing consistent and reusable patterns as apart of feature development

Basic Requirements
  • 3+ years of relevant engineering experience at tech and product-driven companies
  • Excellent with standard git, devops, and agile engineering practices
  • Experience with backend, async, fault-tolerant, and server-side applications.
  • Excellent with backend API design both REST and GraphQL
  • Proficiency with relational databases like Postgres/MySQL including design, tuning, and safety
  • Proficiency with No-SQL Databases such as Redis/Cassandra/Neo4j
  • Ability to move fast in an environment where things are sometimes loosely defined and may have competing priorities or deadlines
