Job Title: Bilingual Tajik/Russian Linguist - Travel Only Job Category: Language Services Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI with Polygraph Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 25% Type of Travel: Outside Continental US * * * The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking TS/SCI Poly-cleared candidates who speak Tajik and Russian. This is a prime contract supporting government operations in Fairfax, VA. This is a travel only role. You will be deployed for 4 to 8 weeks' at a time and back for 4 to 8 week's. Responsibilities: * Accurately translate report/texts in electronic and hard-copy formats that not only contain facts, but also some abstract language showing an ability to capture intended implications and many nuances
* Ability to capture geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural elements in text
* Interpretation - able to interpret accurately. The ability of consecutive interpretation is needed, but on rare occasions simultaneous interpretation maybe required. Needs to have a good understanding of one of more regional dialects.
* Transcription - Review audio or internet materials, transcribes with high degree of accuracy and expression. Must posses excellent English-language written communication skills for preparing reports.
* Ability to identify and accurately summarize factual points as well as abstract concepts.
* Must possess computer skills: including MS Office, to be able to produce written translations and products sufficient internet skills that will allow basic research the Web.
* Excellent English language skills verbal communication skills to present briefings Qualifications * Must be a US Citizen
* Active TS/SCI Clearance with adjudicated Polygraph
* Ability to pass an advanced English test
* Ability to score ILR Level 3 or higher on target language translation test
* Ability to deploy - active passport - this is a Travel Only Role.
* Minimum five (5) years' professional experience conducting translation, transcription, translation, and/or interpretation
* In-depth knowledge of the geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural components of target language geographical areas
* Master use of MS Office and internet research Desired Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree
* Previous military experience
* Has good understanding of one or more regional dialects
* Consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation abilities This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately.
