MOR doctors are the official team physicians for the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bulls, Chicago Fire Soccer Club and DePaul University Athletics.

Ready to join? We are looking for a full-time Certified Athletic Trainer/DME Coordinator to be based at the outpatient clinic in Munster, Indiana. In this role you will be responsible for measuring, fitting, adjusting, educating and maintaining inventory of braces and devices for surgical and non-surgical patients. The DME Coordinator is a key point of contact for the patient, internal staff, physician office and vendors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Measure and fit off-the-shelf orthopaedic bracing and other orthopaedic devices.
  • Instruct patients regarding use of orthopaedic bracing products and other orthopaedic devices.
  • Ordering of products and maintaining inventory of DME Store.
  • Check patient benefits and perform pre-certification for certain orthpaedic product.
  • Recommend orthpaedic bracing and products to patients on a walk-in basis
  • Communicate patient questions or concerns regarding orthopaedic products with physician and staff.
  • Communicate with product representatives and vendors regarding product complications or issues.
  • Maintains licensure and certification requirements to comply with the State of Illinois, BOC, and NATA Code of Ethics.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
  • Perform duties of co-workers and subordinates as workload dictates.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in Athletic Trainer or other health-related field.
  • Certified Athletic Trainer.
  • Orthotic Fitter Certification preferred but not required. 
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an orthopedic or medical setting preferred but not required.

Pay Range: $50k- $65k annualized. Compensation at MOR is determined by many factors, which may include but are not limited to, job-related skills and level of experience, education, certifications, geographic location, market data and internal equity. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
