Key Responsibilities

• Engage in thorough assessments and evaluations at the onset of therapy to understand the unique mental health challenges faced by clients, allowing for tailored treatment plans.
• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based methodologies to foster personal growth and resilience among clients.
• Establish collaborative therapeutic goals with clients, constantly monitoring their progress and making adjustments to treatment approaches as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Offer teletherapy options, providing accessible support for clients facing mobility challenges or those residing in rural areas.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions as per ethical standards, enhancing continuity of care and organizational compliance.
• Participate in regular team meetings, supervision sessions, and continuing education opportunities to enhance clinical competencies and share best practices with colleagues.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic serves a diverse array of clients, including individuals struggling with addiction, trauma, relationship issues, and various mental health conditions. As an LMFT, you will draw upon your expertise to support not only couples but also families, children, and teens. We are especially committed to serving clients from diverse backgrounds, including people of color and the LGBTQIA community, and welcome clinicians with experience in these areas.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Current LMFT license issued by the state of New York.
• A minimum of two years of full-time counseling experience in a relevant setting.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with a variety of patient populations, including couples, families, and adolescents.
• Specialized training or certification in therapeutic techniques focusing on trauma-informed care, addiction recovery, or other relevant areas.
• Ability to provide culturally competent care to clients from diverse racial, ethnic, and sexual orientations.

Compensation and Benefits
