Job Description:

APEX Mechanical and Fabrication is looking for a reliable, skilled Machinist who enjoys hands-on work with a variety of machines like manual lathes, mills, and large drill presses. You will be involved in fabricating and maintaining parts for different projects. We’re a team-oriented company, so if you like troubleshooting and working with equipment in a supportive environment, this job could be a great fit for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate manual lathe, mill, and drill press to create parts based on specifications.
  • Tasks include things like:
    • Shaping pipes and repairing flange faces.
    • Drilling holes and performing layout work.
    • Tapping and working with heavy materials when needed.
  • Read simple blueprints and work with others to get parts made efficiently.
  • Create tooling and fixtures (specialized equipment to help with tasks).
  • Keep an eye on equipment to ensure it’s running smoothly and troubleshoot if needed.

Maintenance Responsibilities:

  • Help troubleshoot electrical systems.
  • Get involved with basic repairs like switches, hydraulics, and pumps.
  • Occasionally, there will be some basic plumbing or carpentry tasks.
