Job description

Lead a Team. Inspire People. Drive a Business.

Ruiz Salon is seeking an experienced, people-focused leader to oversee daily operations, develop

an exceptional team, and elevate the guest experience.

This isn’t simply a management position; it’s an opportunity to shape the future of one of Austin’s

premier salon brands.

What You’ll Do

As Salon Director, you’ll provide leadership across every aspect of salon operations,

including:

  • Lead and inspire a team of stylists, managers, and guest care professionals.
  • Drive sales, profitability, and guest retention.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Recruit and retain top industry talent.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and implement strategies to achieve business goals.
  • Ensure an outstanding guest experience at every touchpoint.
  • Oversee scheduling, staffing, and daily salon operations.
  • Coach, mentor and develop future leaders.
  • Maintain operational standards and uphold the Ruiz Salon brand.
  • Partner with ownership to execute strategic initiatives and support continued growth.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who leads with integrity, communicates with confidence, and

enjoys helping others succeed.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • A minimum of 5+ years leadership or management experience in a salon, spa, hospitality or luxury service environment leading teams of 20+ employees.
  • Strong coaching, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proven ability to motivate teams and achieve performance goals.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Financial and business acumen, including the ability to interpret performance metrics.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment using operational data, performance metrics, guest feedback and team observation to identify trends, anticipate challenges, and make timely, thoughtful decisions that support the team, guests and the business.
  • Highly self-directed, with the ability to manage competing priorities, remain productive, and take initiative with minimal supervision.
  • A positive attitude, professional presence, and commitment to exceptional guest service.
  • Position is on-site.

At Ruiz Salon, we invest in leadership development, and career growth while fostering a culture

where people enjoy coming to work and take pride in what they build together.

experience.

Bring your leadership to Ruiz Salon and help define what’s next.
