Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
Loads outbound trucks and puts away inbound merchandise, and performs clean-up duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Put away or stock inbound materials.
  • Pulls customers' orders from inventory on hand.
  • Load company and customer vehicles with outbound materials.
  • Safely operate a forklift to assist in handling of materials.
  • Sweep and clean warehouse and pick up trash.
  • Observe all safety rules: (i.e. safety glasses, ear plugs, Lock Out/Tag Out, etc.).
  • Assist in counting inventory.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be able to read and write so that written instructions and shipping papers can be easily followed and that corrections and needed information can be easily filled.
  • Analytical Skills - Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.
  • Must be able to pass our forklift operators test after a normal training procedure.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.

EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED required.
EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of building materials a plus.
