About Haus of Powell

Haus of Powell is a luxury interior design and furnishings studio specializing in custom homes, furnishings, window coverings, and styling. Working alongside CKC Custom Homes, we create thoughtfully curated interiors that blend beauty, functionality, and exceptional client service.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Interior Designer - Furniture & Interiors to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a designer who is passionate about residential furnishings, client relationships, and creating exceptional spaces from concept through installation.

Position Summary

The Interior Designer - Furniture & Interiors will lead and support residential furnishing projects, including furniture selections, space planning, presentations, procurement, vendor coordination, installations, and client communication. The ideal candidate possesses strong design skills, excellent organization, and a passion for luxury residential interiors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop furniture, lighting, rug, artwork, and accessory selections for residential projects

  • Create design concepts, mood boards, and client presentations

  • Prepare furniture plans and space planning layouts

  • Source products through trade vendors and manufacturers

  • Manage furnishings procurement from order placement through installation

  • Coordinate with vendors, workrooms, installers, and freight carriers

  • Conduct site visits, measurements, and installation walkthroughs

  • Assist with project styling and final project completion

  • Maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation

  • Collaborate closely with the Principal Designer and Design Team

  • Deliver an elevated and professional client experience throughout each project

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design required

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working within an interior design firm

  • Experience with residential furniture and furnishings projects required

  • Strong understanding of furniture specifications, materials, textiles, and finishes

  • Experience with procurement, ordering, and installation coordination

  • Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, and design presentation software

  • Experience with Revit, SketchUp, Buildertrend, or similar design software is preferred
