Fastpoint Games is looking for a Senior Engineer for its Backend Services team. The ideal candidate can both lead a team or work in a group; likes a fast-paced, startup environment; is highly motivated and enjoys new technology and new challenges. We're looking for: - Experience with Ruby and/or Ruby on Rails - Extensive experience in building distributed, web-based applications and working with web-services - Background in platform-oriented architectures - Excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills - A true passion for Sports and/or Fantasy Sports - Better than average experience with XML (DOM and SAX) processing - At home on the linux command line - Experience using Oracle or Postgres - Experience with multi-threaded or multi-process programming models in the real world, not in the "hello world" - Someone who has experience working in environments where there is more going on than just page views - Familiarity with the full SDLC, version control and all the other aspects of professional development At Fastpoint Games, we'll offer you: - Ownership of large projects - Ability to play a critical role in a rapidly expanding company - Competitive compensation with both salary and stock options.
