How do Ruby on Rails developers typically collaborate with front-end teams during a project?

Ruby on Rails developers often work closely with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration between the application's back-end logic and user interface. Collaboration usually involves regular code reviews, shared documentation, and effective use of version control systems like Git. Communication tools such as Slack and project management platforms like Jira help keep both teams aligned on project goals, feature requirements, and timelines. This teamwork ensures that back-end APIs and front-end components are well-coordinated, leading to a smooth development process and high-quality end product.

  • Big Data Management: Build robust data pipelines to handle large-scale cloud storage and processing for our AI-enhanced features.
  • Fullstack Ownership: Develop responsive, reliable UI components in
  • React/Signals that interface seamlessly with complex backend logic.
  • Set Standards: Champion high standards for code quality and performance, contributing to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For
  • Experience: 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a heavy emphasis on backend systems and big data workflows.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Expert-level proficiency in AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3) and experience with or strong interest in GCP.

Bonus:
  • Testing Rigor: Deep experience with automated testing methodologies (we use Jest) and a test-first mentality.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Experience working within HIPAA, FDA, or similar regulatory environments and an understanding of software validation.
  • AI Proficiency: Experience with Generative AI tools, RAG, agents, or machine learning pipelines.
  • Ruby on Rails: Familiarity with Rails-based backends.
  • Salary Range: $140,000.00 - $165,000.00 Annual
