Job Summary:
Syntricate Technologies is seeking a Ruby Automation Testing professional. The role involves developing and maintaining Ruby applications, planning and designing software solutions, and working in Agile environments to deliver user stories.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain Ruby language application code.
• Plan, design, develop, modify, debug and evaluate moderately complex software for functional areas.
• Analyze existing software or work to formulate logic for moderately complex new systems. Understand the interface requirements and configuration architecture.
• Create Design Document for the integration.
• Configure the application points as per specification using Java and Angular.
• Perform code review, and shake down test and deliver Work in Agile environments
• Ability to work on technology Plug-ins, Messaging, API
• Strong capabilities in relational databases, message queues, and batch systems.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 2+ years of development experience in Ruby and in Cucumber framework
• Ability with Ruby programming
• 3+ years of experience with the design, development, modification and deployment of software, including object-oriented programming concepts
• Configure screen layouts including creation of new screens (PCFs)
• Good working knowledge of Ruby/Cucumber Configuration and Integration work areas
• Expertise in configuring and developing several areas in Domain (Policy Transactions/Job Configuration Experience implementing multiple Personal LOBs Product Modeling, Quoting, Rating Management, Forms Management, Policy Revisioning, UW Authority, Account Management, Batch Framework and Policy Center Administration)
• Experience in configuring operational and administration related parameters such as roles and permissions
• Experience working within a development team using Agile methodology to deliver User stories
• Prior experience performing minor and major enhancements and software upgrades
• Functional Implementation Maintenance Support project experience
• Experience in Personal lines of Insurance business: General Liability or Professional Liability
Preferred:
• Good knowledge in Ruby and Cucumber Framework along with TOSCA
• Ruby Developer with expertise building applications mainly in Insurance Domain
• Building Ruby APIs as middle layers
