Reflexive Concepts is seeking a skilled Cloud Software Engineer to join our team!
Specifically, we are looking for a Cloud Software Engineer (Skill Level 2) to build distributed applications and RESTful services in Java, C or C++ against large-scale data in Hadoop, HDFS and Accumulo.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Within the last seven (7) years, a minimum of five (5) years experience programming with at least two (2) of the following languages: Java, C and/or C++
  • Within the last five (5) years, a minimum of three (3) years of experience designing and developing applications in a Windows or UNIX/Linux operating environment
  • Within the last five (5) years, a minimum of three (3) years experience with OpenSource (NoSQL) products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs such as HBase, CloudBase/Accumulo and/or Big Table
  • Within the last three (3) years, a minimum of one (1) year experience with Map/Reduce and/or Hadoop, Hive and/or Pig
  • Within the last three (3) years, a minimum of one (1) year experience with the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS)
  • Within the last three (3) years, a minimum of one (1) year experience with requirements analysis and design for one (1) or more object-oriented systems
  • Demonstrated experience developing Restful services
  • Hadoop/Cloud Developer Certification
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
    • An associate's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and two (2) years programming experience, or five (5) years programming experience, may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with full-scope polygraph

  • Demonstrated experience with the Ruby-on-Rails framework

  • Demonstrated experience with COPILOT, PRESSUREWAVE and/or the R6 Cloud, and/or the installation, configuration and tuning of the same
  • Demonstrated experience with LDAP protocol configuration and management
  • Demonstrated experience developing and deploying analytics that discover and exploit social networks, and analytics within a heterogeneous schema environment
  • Demonstrated experience documenting ontologies, data models, schemas, formats, data element dictionaries, software application program interfaces and other technical specifications
  • Demonstrated experience with linguistics (grammar, morphology, concepts) and/or with Rosette Base Linguistics software for Chinese and/or Arabic
