Working a 24/7 roster or rotating shift patterns, the role of Duty Manager will be the immediate contact for all Rail Replacement Contracts to manage and monitor Pre-planned Rail Replacement services and to source Emergency vehicles. Working time split between remote (from home) and in the Rugby Control room you will be expected to be available at all times when on duty and respond to any requests from the client in a timely manner.

Duties will include:

24/7 shift pattern covering various duty turns,
Split between remote working and Rugby, the Duty Manager will arrange, manage and monitor Rail Replacement transport at times,
Responsible for the quality of our customer-focused response,
Monitor and report on the activities of coordinators,
Logging of all actions or events to generate an audit trail,
To provide efficient and effective administrative support,
Assist the Operations Delivery Manager where necessary to cover work at competitive and profitable prices,
Work effectively with internal and external suppliers and colleagues,
Always have a duty of care for the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues, including a duty to report unsafe acts or omissions to safety,
To undertake any other duties commensurate with the role.
The candidate:

An individual who can develop effective working relations with suppliers and colleagues,
Can handle high pressure situations in a calm and logical manner,
It will be desirable if applicants can demonstrate previous experience administering logistics or passenger transport in a similar environment,
The posts involve shift-working on a rota basis covering Day and Night shift patterns.
