Job Summary:
Cardinal Integrated Technologies Inc is seeking a Software Engineer to support the maintenance and improvement of the Metis website and various applications. The role focuses on designing and maintaining landing pages for product launches while contributing to the codebase and integrating with external APIs.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain Metis's website, with regular on-call design request changes
• Work on issues from the Engineering backlog in GitHub
• Create ad hoc fully tested features
• Build scripts to automate tasks as required
• Collaborate with Marketing and designers to create landing pages on a regular basis
• Maintain and expand the CMS
• Provide technical support for all departments of the organization
• Maintain numerous databases
Qualifications:
Required:
• Strong foundation in Ruby on Rails and JavaScript
• Fluent in CSS, Sass, JQuery
• Fluent in Git and GitHub
• Experience with Responsive Web Design patterns
• Familiar with front-end frameworks (e.g., Foundation)
• Extensive experience deploying with Heroku
• Strong experience with deploying to production
• Experience with Postgres
• Very strong knowledge of HTTP, caching, page rendering, mobile optimization, etc
• Familiar with APIs / CMS
• Strong understanding of debugging
• Able to work independently and without support of full engineering team or engineering manager
• Experience with unit/feature testing
• BS/MS in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent experience
• Minimum 4 years of Software Development Experience
Preferred:
• Proficient in React
• Familiarity with Salesforce
