Pay Range: $20.00 - $21.00 / hour

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Thursday, 5:00 am - 3:30 pm

Description

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Rubber Mixer – Level 1 to join our production team in the Mill Room. This is an entry-level role with room for growth and cross-training in other manufacturing areas.


In this hands-on position, you'll be responsible for preparing rubber materials according to company recipes using open mill machinery. You’ll also support general cleanliness and assist in downstream processes. Training will be provided, though prior mechanical aptitude and a strong work ethic are essential.


Key Responsibilities

  • Read and understand mix orders and rubber recipes
  • Safely operate and clean open mill machines under supervision
  • Sharpen mill knives using safe procedures
  • Mix and cut rubber to precise specifications, ensuring product consistency
  • Assist in calendering and extruding operations
  • Follow all safety guidelines and PPE requirements
  • Perform daily cleaning and upkeep of your work area
  • Maintain quality standards and follow production protocols
  • Support team members and respond to production needs as assigned


Qualifications & Skills

  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
  • Comfortable using measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers
  • Capable of safely operating overhead lifts and basic material handling equipment
  • Reliable and punctual, with a strong sense of teamwork and communication
  • Comfortable working in physically demanding environments


Education & Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or production environments preferred
  • Willingness to learn rubber mixing, cutting, and supporting processes


Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, and reach during shift
  • Able to lift and handle objects up to 50 lbs frequently
  • Comfortable working in noisy, dusty, or dirty conditions
  • Able to safely use cutting tools such as scissors or knives for rubber handling
  • Capable of operating equipment with manual dexterity and attention to safety
