Job description

Associate Director Of Logistics

Raytheon, an RTX business, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Associate Director of Logistics to join our Operations Leadership Team. Reporting directly to the Director of Production Control and Logistics, this role is a pivotal member of the Leadership Team and plays a critical role in driving operational excellence within the Effectors operations across multiple sites. In this high-impact position, you will oversee all logistics functions in a fast-paced, program-driven environment, serving as a key enabler of strategic growth. This role requires frequent collaboration with senior leaders across Raytheon Operations and other functions, as well as active participation as a valued member of the Operations extended leadership team. You will work closely with other directorates within Operations and Supply Chain to ensure seamless execution of organizational goals.

This position demands flexibility, with the ability to work beyond the typical 40-hour workweek and travel domestically up to 15% of the time. Responsibilities include inbound material flow, inventory management, material distribution, packaging, government furnished material management and compliance, and customer delivery and transportation. Responsible for leadership and talent development opportunities for an organization of over 200 salary and bargaining unit employees. Collaborate across multiple functions including Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance and Supply Chain. This role is also critical in managing the transition of $2B of inventory to GXO (3PL) with minimal impact to factory production. People leader and manager; encouraging and in support of performance management activities, goal setting, career counseling, compensation planning, and employee training and/or talent development. Manage employees and employee relations issues within varying levels of the organization. Collaborate and build strong cross-functional teams gained from leadership experience in operations, program management or similar for a complex product domain, high-technology, or large corporate environment. Communicate clear expectations and influence teams across a wide cross-section of disciplines. Execute against tight deadlines. Support audit readiness and compliance. Support factory deliveries to mitigate stoppages and met ramp rates. This is an onsite role in Tucson, AZ. Candidate will need to travel upwards of 15% of the time.

Typically requires A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience. Experience working within Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing or similar production schedule driven environment. Experience leading daily team operations and/or comparable leadership experience. Ability to obtain interim secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start.

Prior experience leading in a DoD environment managing a collective bargaining workforce. Experience within Operations manufacturing, and financial business acumen. Experience in Six Sigma, CORE, Lean Manufacturing processes, diagnostics, and continuous improvement. Experience driving financial performance, cost reduction, staffing, and budgeting. Active/Current Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
