McCall Thomas Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced 1099 Contract Inspector for current work in the Newington, GA area with potential for work in other areas as well. 


Job location: project locations may change and require travel


Work schedule: M-F

McCall-Thomas Engineering is a multi-faceted employee-owned engineering firm housing multiple divisions including the Communications Engineering Division, the Electrical Engineering Division, the Electric Utility Service Division, the Electric Field Operations & UAS, as well as the McT Learning Center and Print Services.

As an Inspector for McCall-Thomas, you will be working alongside a team of dedicated individuals committed to our mission of providing quality solutions and services to our clients. The responsibilities for this role include:

•Patrolling and Inspection of overhead and underground fiber installations. 

•Inspecting and ensuring OH and UG fiber is installed according to drawings and specifications. 

•Ensuring all hardware is installed correctly and according to specifications. 

•Documenting issues and ensuring required corrections are made construction crews.

•Generating red lines of changes to construction drawings.

• Ensuring that all fiber cable and fiber drop footages are correct

• Ensuring that the fiber is placed in the entire circuit and that each RTD is placed at the correct location

• Completing and submitting QC spreadsheet and paperwork

• Checking on construction crews to ensure they are at the correct locations

• Maintaining a professional working attitude with co-workers and customers at all times and adhering to safety practices and procedures.

• Additional responsibilities as directed by the Foreman/Construction Manager.


What Will You Need:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

High school diploma

Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship 

Prior fiber construction or utility electrical inspection experience preferred
