RT Level II Inspector Position Overview:
We are seeking a certified RT to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in radiographic testing methods and capable of performing inspections in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and customer specifications. This role is essential in ensuring the structural integrity and quality of our welds, components, and finished products.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform radiographic testing on welds, fabrications, and materials in compliance with industry codes and Moran Iron Works procedures.

  • Set up, calibrate, and operate radiographic equipment safely and effectively.

  • Interpret and evaluate film/digital radiographs for internal defects, discontinuities, or non-conformance.

  • Document inspection results and prepare detailed reports.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and customer requirements.

  • Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety protocols and regulations.

  • Provide guidance and support team members.

Qualifications:

  • Current RT Certification

  • Experience performing RT in industrial or fabrication environments (welding/shipbuilding experience preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards.

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and evaluate radiographs accurately.

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Commitment to safety in handling radiation sources and equipment.
