Job description

Come join our Respiratory Team and spend time playing in the Colorado Mountains (right out your front door!)

Work for an Independent Community Hospital - our goal is to provide patient care right here at home, for our Mountain Community!

  • Provides in-patient therapy for neonates to geriatrics on medical surgical floor, critical care, surgical services, level II nursery, the family birthplace center, and the emergency department.
  • Under the supervision of the medical staff provides general and advanced levels of therapy, patient education.
  • Participates as a member of the trauma and code blue teams, evaluation of CXR for endotracheal tube placement and other pulmonary clinical pathology, reviews laboratory values, fluid balance and medications.
  • Provides Level II Nursery and pediatrics respiratory interventions and pediatric asthma and bronchiolitis management and education. Performs EKG’s, ABG’s, and bedside Spirometry.

Great SCHEDULE

  • Days - 3-12's with weekend rotation. No Call.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of a National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) accredited School of Respiratory Care
  • NBRC RRT and NRP Credentialed required.
  • State Licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
  • 2 years of experience required.
  • BLS, ACLS and PALS through the American Heart Association with card in-hand after start date.
  • Current Advanced NRP-(AAP) with card in-hand after start date.
  • The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in and be able to perform all procedures of clinical practice e.g. Ventilator management including APRV, AVAPS and BIPAP weaning, respiratory care consults, assessments and interventions, adult intubation, arterial line insertion and bedside diagnostics. Familiarity with electronic medical record keeping systems (Meditech) helpful.
