Job Description
We are seeking a mission-ready SATCOM Network Support Specialist to support the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Enterprise SATCOM Gateway Services (ESGS) mission at Hill AFB, UT. This role provides 24/7/365 technical and operational support to tactical customers accessing DoD gateway facilities, working across an extremely complex IP-based SATCOM network. Candidates must be dependable, operationally disciplined, and comfortable supporting rotating shifts in a mission essential environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor network events and element management failures in real time (24x7x365).
  • Create/update tickets in DISA ticketing applications for customer issue tracking and resolution (Baseband, IF, RF).
  • Configure/troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and voice equipment.
  • Configure/support IP satellite modems; issue option/boot/RSP files.
  • Remotely access/de-access customers into IP/SATCOM networks.
  • Troubleshoot SATCOM/IP issues with gateway facilities and deployed operators.
  • Verify equipment remains in baseline configuration.
  • Provide remote gateway configurations using SAA/GAA authorizations.

Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
  • HS diploma + 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) by start date.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operations environment.
  • Moderate experience/knowledge in one or more: SAA/GAA documentation, MILSATCOM encryption devices, SATCOM architecture & signal flow.
  • Ability to manage IP over SATCOM using iDirect/Linkway/EBEM or equivalent FM-TDMA hubs.
