Job description

Step into a rewarding contract role as a Special Education Teacher, just outside Long Beach, supporting elementary students in a Resource Specialist Program (RSP) environment. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to make a difference from September 1, 2026, through February 5, 2027, with a manageable caseload and a structured, four-day workweek totaling 30 hours. You'll join a dynamic team of educators committed to maximizing every child's potential in an inclusive and well-resourced school community.

Your active CTC licensure with Mild to Moderate specialization will empower you to collaborate closely with general education staff, design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), and provide targeted instructional support to help each student thrive.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active and valid California CTC Special Education Teaching credential (Mild to Moderate).
  • Previous experience with elementary-aged students preferred.
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, support staff, and school administrators.
  • Ability to manage and adapt instruction for diverse learners in a supportive setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to K-5 students in an RSP program.
