What is an RSA Archer Solution Architect?

RSA Archer Solution Architects are professionals who specialize in designing, implementing, and optimizing solutions on the RSA Archer GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) platform. They work with organizations to understand their risk management needs, configure Archer modules, integrate with other systems, and ensure that the platform effectively supports business processes. Their role often involves collaborating with stakeholders, providing technical guidance, and translating business requirements into effective Archer solutions.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an RSA Archer Solution Architect?

To thrive as an RSA Archer Solution Architect, you need deep expertise in governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) frameworks, experience with the RSA Archer platform, and a background in IT or information security. Proficiency in configuring RSA Archer modules, workflow design, data integration, and knowledge of scripting languages like JavaScript or XML is typically required, along with relevant certifications such as RSA Archer Certified Administrator. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders make a candidate stand out. These skills are critical for designing effective risk management solutions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and translating business requirements into technical implementations.

How does an RSA Archer Solution Architect typically collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams during a project?

An RSA Archer Solution Architect works closely with both business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure that risk management solutions are aligned with organizational objectives. Regular meetings, workshops, and documentation reviews are common to keep all parties aligned, address concerns, and ensure the solution meets compliance and usability standards. This collaborative approach helps bridge the gap between business needs and technical capabilities, leading to successful Archer deployments.
