Job Summary:
ShiftCode Analytics, Inc. is seeking an experienced IBM iSeries RPG Developer to design, develop, and maintain database applications on the IBM iSeries platform. The role involves working with large transactional datasets and implementing complex business logic using RPG and embedded SQL in a high volume enterprise environment.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain database driven applications on the IBM iSeries platform using RPG and embedded SQL
• Implement and support complex business logic within RPG based applications
• Work with large transactional tables and optimize performance of database operations
• Read, analyze, and modify existing RPGIV, RPGLE, and RPGFree programs
• Support application development that interacts with front end systems through REST APIs and JSON based integrations
Qualifications:
Required:
• Expert level experience with RPG and embedded SQL implementing business logic on the IBM iSeries platform. This is a MUST
• Ability to read and work within RPGIV, RPGLE, and RPGFree programs
• Experience with IBM development tools such as Aldon, RDI, and Client
• Experience interacting with front end systems through REST APIs and JSON
Preferred:
• Experience with financial close processes such as Revenue and JIB
• Exposure to Python, microservices architecture, and development using VS Code IDE
• Experience using Git for source control and integration
