WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

This strategic leadership role under the HR & CLAOportfolio reports to theSenior Director, HR Large Programs & Integrationsand spearheads cross-functional technology teams across the enterprise to deliver large, complex and transformative HR initiatives. As an experienced IT practitioner with extensive technical and leadership experience, the incumbent will champion the adoption of AI to accelerate program delivery, reduce costs, and optimize portfolio management.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

AI-Powered Program Leadership:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex HR technology initiatives, leveragingAI/ML toolsto streamline lifecycles from planning to hyper-care

  • IntegrateRBC Assist Pro and other AI / automation tools to enhance decision-making, resource allocation, and real-time reporting

  • Define, manage and track program scope, objectives, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with senior leadership

  • Develop comprehensive program plans with clear milestones and success metrics and ensure program alignment with business strategy and organizational goals

Strategic Portfolio Management:

  • Assist with the development and governance of the portfolio aligned with HR and enterprise objectives, utilizingAI-driven insightsfor roadmap prioritization and budget optimization

  • Collaborate with executives to identifyopportunities for optimization, enhanced compliance and governance, particularly AI and automation-enabled opportunities(e.g., intelligent workflow automation, chatbot integrations) and ensure alignment with RBC's innovation agenda

Thought Leadership & Mentorship:

  • Foster a culture ofinnovationthrough coaching, upskilling teams, and developing future-focus roadmaps

  • Advocate forarchitecture-led solution design, prototyping, and quality engineering to future-proof HR program delivery

Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement:

  • Influence C-suite and vendor partners usingdata-driven AI dashboardsto communicate progress, risks, and ROI

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must Have

  • 8+ yearsprogram/project management experience (onshore/offshore teams) and 5+ yearsin technology leadership and direct people management experience. Proven track record in delivery of large programs/initiatives and cross-functional team leadership

  • Technical fluency: 10+ years of hands-on general technology experience with a focus on software, hardware, end -user computing, platform, data engineering and related technologies, including knowledge ofRBC Assist ecosystem, RPA, DevOps, and Helios, paired with cloud/AI platform proficiency (AWS/Azure)

  • Executive presence: Strong experience in partnering with business executives to collaborate on strategy, vision & roadmap development and implementation, influence key decision-makers across functions and business, and the ability to translateAI-driven insightsinto actionable strategies for stakeholders

  • Experience in managing multiple interconnected projects, overseeing dependencies, resolving conflicts, and optimizing resources across teams to prevent delays and ensure cohesive execution

  • Stakeholder communication: Strong communication skills to manage stakeholders and convey complex information clearly to difference audience

  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity with a passion for continuous learning and improvement, and the ability to ask insightful questions, challenge assumptions, and explore new approaches

Nice-to-Have:

  • Proven AI expertise: Hands-on experience deployingAI in program management(e.g., predictive scheduling, cost forecasting, reporting and dashboards, QE Automation)

  • Financial services experience with multiple HR platforms and technologies including Payroll,Incentive CompensationandSSO/cloud security.

  • Knowledge of multiple HR platforms (SAP, Workday, cloud/on-premise) and technologies including cloud (AWS, Azure) and on-premises implementations

  • Profesisonal program/project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2or equivalent)
