Job Summary:

HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services is seeking a Board Certified/ Board Eligible, Fellowship trained Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join the growing cardiac program at HCA Florida Largo Hospital. This team is supported by outstanding Facility leadership and has separate, in-house nighthawk coverage by the Cardiac/Liver Transplant team. HCA Florida Largo Hospital participates in the Cardiac Anesthesia training of our of Residents based out of our ACGME Residency Program at HCA Florida Oak Hill in Brooksville.
Opportunity Highlights/Qualified Candidates:
  • Staffing model of 11 Anesthesiologists (8 Cardiac and 3 General) and 25 CRNAs covering 12 ORs plus EP Lab, Cath Lab and Endo. Average surgical volume of 9000 cases annually.
  • Diverse mix of cases including, Transplant (separate team), Cardiac, heavy Ortho, General Surgery, Endo, Neuro, Spine, Vascular, Robotics, etc. No Peds. No OB. No Trauma.
  • Average annual cardiac volume 600 hearts (open hearts and structural combined)
  • Physician's work week is Day shift, M-F, 7a-5p with back-up cardiac call from home split equally amongst 4 Physicians. Separate cardiac/liver transplant team stays in house overnight.
Incentive/Benefits Package:
  • NEW Excellent compensation package including $100K Start Date Bonus
  • $50K Cardiac Fellowship stipend
  • Relocation assistance available up to $15K
  • Additional compensation for picking up any extra back-up call shift (5p-7a) or in-house day shift if desired. Beeper pay plus hourly rate at $330/hour if called back in.
  • 10 weeks PTO and $5k annual CME
