Roving Retail Technician

Charlotte, NC

$18/hr + unlimited sales bonus potential

Roving Technician at uBreakiFix - a dynamic role where you'll travel between store locations, troubleshoot and repair devices, support daily operations, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. Perfect for someone who loves hands-on work, variety, and growing their tech skills on the go.

What's expected of you:

  • Travel daily between UBIF locations, up to a 30-mile radius, using your own reliable vehicle to fill coverage gaps such as absences, high-volume days, and special events.
  • Maintain schedule flexibility and travel safely to designated stores as advised by your District Manager.
  • Support the full repair workflow at each store you visit, including diagnostics, electronic repairs, meeting SLAs, job closings, and reducing bounce.
  • Perform back-of-house tasks including inventory counts, parts ordering, buybacks, RMAs, and overall repair quality checks.
  • Deliver exceptional front-of-house customer service, including greeting customers, helping diagnose issues, processing transactions, and keeping the store merchandised and organized.
  • Recommend and sell Asurion's Connected Home product using our Serve, Solve, Sell technique, helping customers protect and get more from their tech.
  • Share best practices and observations across stores to help drive district alignment and consistency and inform process improvement opportunities.

This is a full-time role requiring travel up to 100% of the time.

To be successful at uBreakiFix, you'll bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record with 1+ years of driving experience
  • Ability to drive your own vehicle up to 30 miles (store to store)
  • Willingness to undergo a background and drug screening
  • Ability to lift or move items weighing 50+ lbs
  • 1+ years of customer service/retail sales experience
  • 6+ months of experience with product service support and technology repair
  • Passion for all types of technology and motivation to learn repairs quickly through hands-on training.
  • A team-oriented, self-motivated communicator who is comfortable working in a variety of environments.
  • Ability to translate tech issues into clear, friendly explanations and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced retail repair setting.
