Rover Laborer - Sweeper Operator
ABOUT THE ROLE
Perform maintenance, equipment operation, grounds and housekeeping tasks necessary to maintain plant sites, buildings, grounds and equipment managed by regional business entities. Additionally, the role will support both the Colorado Springs and Pueblo locations, so some travel between the sites will be required.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
  • Operating the street sweeper (CDL not required)
  • Ensure housekeeping is maintained and that the equipment is running properly.
  • Assist plant managers with all tasks as needed, follow the instructions and perform duties as assigned.
  • Maintain cleanliness under conveyors.
  • Help Test Concrete at the plant.
  • Make concrete blocks.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Perform all duties in a safe manner and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to follow instructions, maintain good housekeeping around the plant site.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday including Saturdays as the business requires.
  • Maintain equipment in proper working order.
  • Maintain an effective system of communications with supervisors, drivers and crew, peers, operators, and customers serviced.
  • Learn concrete batching process and batch concrete as required.
  • Learn how to operate loader & skidloader so you can help when needed.
  • Use safe practices in all activities.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Valid Drivers License
  • High School Diploma /GED
  • Prior work experience preferred working in or around heavy equipment, or construction.
  • Basic mechanical and construction knowledge and skills
  • Proven safety record EOE/M/F/Vet/Disabled

Additional Requirements:
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
