Job Title: Pega Infrastructure Analyst
ROLE_DESCRIPTION
"Scope of Work
1. Kafka Externalization and Disaster Recovery Implementation
•       Design and implement Kafka externalization from the existing environment.
•       Configure and deploy a Production Disaster Recovery (DR) architecture utilizing Active/Passive failover topology.
•       Establish replication, monitoring, and failover mechanisms to ensure business continuity and high availability.
•       Validate DR readiness through testing and documentation of recovery procedures.
2. Elasticsearch Externalization to AWS OpenSearch
•       Externalize Elasticsearch services from the Pega deployment architecture.
•       Integrate the Pega platform with an external search solution hosted on AWS OpenSearch Service.
•       Configure and connect the SRS (Search and Reporting Service) EKS cluster to AWS OpenSearch.
•       Validate indexing, search functionality, scalability, and operational performance.
3. Helm-Based Deployment of Backing Services
•       Develop and maintain Helm charts for deployment of supporting and backing services within the Kubernetes environment.
•       Configure integrations between deployed services and the Pega platform.
•       Implement environment-specific configurations, parameterization, and deployment automation through Helm.
•       Ensure deployments follow enterprise standards and operational best practices.
4. Platform Upgrade
•       Perform an upgrade of the existing Pega platform from Version 23 to Version 26.
•       Conduct compatibility assessments, dependency analysis, and remediation activities as required.
•       Execute upgrade activities across development, testing, and production environments.
•       Validate platform functionality, performance, and stability following the upgrade.
5. Containerized Application Deployment Modernization
•       Upgrade application deployment processes to leverage containerized deployments.
•       Utilize Pega-provided Docker images for application deployment.
•       Implement and support deployment automation using Helm Charts and AME/Enterprise Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) pipelines.
•       Establish deployment standards, rollback procedures, and release management practices.
6. Kubernetes and AWS EKS Administration & Support
•       The resource performing this work shall possess practical experience with Amazon EKS and Kubernetes administration, including:
•       Deploying and managing Kubernetes pods and workloads.
•       Configuring and managing Kubernetes Ingress resources.
•       Creating and maintaining Service Accounts and role-based access controls (RBAC).
•       Configuring and managing AWS Application Load Balancers (ALB) for ingress traffic routing.
•       Troubleshooting Kubernetes deployments, networking, and platform integrations.
•       Supporting operational activities related to cluster management and application availability.
