Job Summary

Dispatched daily from the Mobile, AL Liberty Tire Recycling facility, each assigned Route Driver and Driver Helper team is responsible for the collection of used tires from multiple customer facilities and transportation of these tires back to the site. In addition to the tire collections, the driver also functions as the main point of customer interaction and records all transactions in accordance with company standards. This position is extremely physical, both the CDL Driver and the Driver Helper will be getting out of the truck at customer sites and manually loading tires into the 53' trailers all day long, through various weather conditions.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections on assigned equipment and report defects to dispatch through the completion of DVIR's; maintain clean, safe equipment.
  • Upholding a high standard of customer service.
  • Ensuring the load is correctly placed and secure.
  • Understand safe lifting techniques to lift and load tires of all sizes (passenger vehicle, and truck tires).
  • Lace passenger tires in a safe manner to reduce injury and optimize load.
  • Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. on a routine basis and 75+ lbs. with assistance.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
  • Maintain documents per DOT guidelines, ELD compliant.
  • Attend monthly Transportation Safety Meetings.
Skills and Abilities
  • CDL Class A License required
  • 22 years of age with clean driving record
  • Must have and maintain acceptable MVR in compliance with DOT
  • Must pass post-offer background, DOT physical and drug test
Education and Experience
  • Prior experience in the tire recycling or manufacturing industry is a plus.
