Job Description

Job Purpose: 

To oversee the downstream supply chain to deliver great customer service and operational excellence, by delivering effective strategic and tactical production planning methodology.
Taking full ownership of the customer experience from order placement to the delivery of the products, on time.
Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:

  • Create infinite schedules to achieve customer on time delivery and maximise efficiencies within production. 
  • Responsible for raising the work orders and managing MRP messages
  • Manages the work orders cycle daily through production, resolving issues
  • Create master production plans, optimising machine efficiencies, resource availability and shift patterns
  • Manages all finished goods stocking policies, inventory levels and engineering change requests
  • Ownership of product lead times, providing customers with consistency, deliverable lead times
  • Co-Ordinate the SiOP process, analyse data, identifying changes in demand and supply. Taking ownership for the supply planning, ensuring forecasts can be achieved with the capacity available
  • Communicate proposed resource and investment requirements, identifying any key risks to supply
  • Own the product master list and life cycle phase, taking action for managing the product portfolio to deliver the customer requirements and minimise associated costs
  • Implement visual queue management planning techniques and build a capacity flex plan with production
  • Accountable for Supply Chain metrics, performance, and root cause countermeasures
  • Responsible for all Supply Chain department costs, including OEE, factory efficiency, over time, subcontract costs, finished goods premium freight and external storage
  • Responsible for the management of the product master data within the ERP system 
  • Lead the deployment of lean methodology 
Qualifications


Essential:

  • Educated to degree level or with appropriate workplace experience/qualification 
  • Strong data analysis and ERP subject matter expert
  • Experience with, and sound knowledge of manufacturing supply-chain, planning and Lean methodology
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, relationship management, with the ability to work collaboratively
  • Able to think strategically and translate the strategy into operational performance
  • Experience of leading change and delivering results
  • Use of common tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Power point

Desirable:

  • APIC’s certified desirable
  • 6 Sigma green belt trained and/or lean equivalent

Hourly Rate: $28 - $35
