Summary
The Backflow Specialist assists in implementing and administering the backflow prevention and cross-connection control program.

Required Experiences:

  • Backflow Specialist must have or be able to obtain backflow specialist certificate
  • Customer service and communication skills
  • Manual dexterity and physical stamina
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inspecting water system installations to protect the public watersupply from contamination.
  • Investigating, testing, and inspecting backflow devices forcompliance with regulations.
  • Coordinating, scheduling, and conducting cross-connectionsurveys of potable or recycled water systems.
  • Scheduling and performing cross-connection testing on dual sourcesites in accordance with state requirements.
  • Performing related duties as assigned.
  • Other assigned duties by leadership team.
