Job Description

Technical knowledge of super precision rolling element bearing application in high speed rotating equipment is required. Specific experience in machine tool service or machining / grinding is highly desired.

General Position Responsibilities
  • Oversee and direct all functions of service facility
  • Supervise and mentor Repair Technicians as direct reports
  • Coordinate with Midwest Service Center to balance workload and direct repairs to the facility that can perform the repair most efficiently
  • Support Sales with guidance and technical expertise to answer questions and provide cost and schedule estimates
  • Provide guidance on spindle cause of failure and potential improvements
  • Review and finalize spindle evaluation reports - Determine repair costs of both purchased components and repair labor to formulate quotes
  • Schedule and assign spindle repairs to Repair Technicians in keeping with their experience and proficiency
  • Review and evaluate Final Repair Reports and spindle repairs to ensure that all was completed to standards and spindle will perform for the customer
Qualifications

Technical knowledge of super precision rolling element bearing application in high-speed rotating equipment is Highly Desired. Specific experience in machine tool service or machining / grinding is highly desired.
