The work hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend shifts on a rotating basis to accommodate client needs. Our outpatient office is equipped with advanced telehealth technology to facilitate seamless communication and treatment delivery.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' symptoms related to mood disorders, documenting the severity, frequency, and duration of these issues.
• Collaborate with clients to formulate individualized treatment plans, tailored to their specific circumstances and personal goals.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address mood disorders effectively.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, viable treatment options, and practical self-care strategies to promote understanding and recovery.
• Track and monitor client progress throughout therapy, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive holistic and integrated care.
• Stay informed of the latest research and advancements in the field of mental health to continuously improve treatment practices and outcomes.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential documentation of therapy sessions in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings to discuss challenging cases and foster a learning environment.
• Advocate for clients by promoting understanding and reducing stigma associated with mood disorders within the community.

As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Therapist at Derick Mental Health Counseling, you will primarily serve individuals grappling with mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. Our diverse patient population includes adults from various backgrounds, each facing unique challenges in their mental health journey. Your role will be crucial in creating tailored approaches that resonate with their diverse needs and promote recovery and well-being.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
• Two years of post-licensure experience concentrating on mood disorders is preferred.
• Proven expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies such as CBT and DBT.
• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology and the ability to work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals.
• Exceptional communication skills, enabling the establishment of rapport with a diverse clientele.

• Demonstrated success in achieving positive outcomes in mood disorder treatment.
• Experience with telehealth services and remote patient management.
• Previous involvement in community mental health initiatives aimed at reducing stigma and advocacy for mental health awareness.

The position offers an attractive annual salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000, depending on experience, in addition to a sign-on bonus.
