Our schedule typically requires therapists to work from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional evening hours on a rotating basis based on client appointments. • Conduct thorough assessments that evaluate mental health status and substance use behaviors, ensuring the identification of co-occurring disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans encompassing both mental health and addiction therapies, grounded in evidence-based practices.
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions aimed at equipping clients with vital coping mechanisms, relapse prevention tools, and skills for emotional regulation.
• Coordinate care with our interdisciplinary team, enhancing holistic treatment approaches that bridge gaps between mental health and addiction services.
• Engage in regular substance use monitoring and utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster independence and commitment to recovery.
• Educate clients and their families on the interrelationship of mental health and substance use, emphasizing the importance of adherence to treatment protocols.
• Maintain precise and up-to-date documentation of all client interactions, treatment progress, interventions, and referrals while ensuring compliance with ethical and legal guidelines.
• Actively participate in case conferences, attend staff meetings, and partake in ongoing training to continually improve treatment methodologies for co-occurring disorders.

The primary focus of this role is to support individuals experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and present a variety of challenges, requiring a nuanced approach to their treatment. As a therapist, you will play a vital role in breaking the cycle of addiction and mental health issues, guiding clients on their paths to lasting recovery and better overall well-being.

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Colorado.
• Demonstrable proficiency in evidence-based therapies tailored for co-occurring disorders, such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
• Strong knowledge of the interactions between mental health and substance use disorders and their impact on treatment outcomes.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate within a clinical team environment.

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a mental health or substance abuse treatment setting is preferred.
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary team is highly regarded, as is familiarity with integrated care approaches.
• Prior training or certification in evidence-based practices related to co-occurring disorders is advantageous.
