Job description

Are you passionate about the outdoors and eager to share that energy with others? Our Missoula store is looking for outgoing and energetic individuals to join our team! We carry the best gear for every season-from downhill skis, snowboards, and snowshoes to kayaks and paddleboards-and we need a versatile team member who is ready to do it all.
The ideal candidate is a dedicated "people person" who provides a positive buying experience for every customer. Whether you are helping someone gear up for their first time on the slopes or their hundredth time on the water, you should display a helpful, positive attitude toward both customers and your fellow teammates in our Missoula location.
In this role, you will work directly with premier industry brands like K2, Nordica, and Rossignol for the winter season, as well as HO Sports, Radar, and Jimmy Styks for the water. You will be responsible for sharing your expertise on everything from downhill skis and snowboards to paddleboards, ensuring every customer finds the perfect equipment for their next adventure.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service.
  • Resolve customer issues and answer questions professionally.
  • Provide accurate pricing and sale information.
  • Stay up to date on the latest technology and trends in the ski, snowboard, and water sports industry.
  • Familiarize yourself with merchandise to provide quick and accurate product information.
  • Effectively communicate the features and benefits of our top-tier brands.
  • Maintain the organization and merchandise displays in your department.

Qualifications
Required
  • Must be available and ready to work all major sale events throughout the year.
  • Extensive experience with both winter and water sports and equipment to better serve our active community.
  • Must be comfortable and confident approaching customers and initiating helpful conversations.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in every transaction and interaction.
  • An energetic and consistent work ethic, bringing your best to every shift.
  • Well-developed organizational skills to keep our fast-paced environment running smoothly.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the sales floor to provide an inviting shopping environment.

Shifts may be scheduled in 4-hour, 6-hour, or 8-hour blocks (e.g., 9 AM-1 PM, 9 AM-3 PM, 12 PM-6 PM, 3 PM-9 PM, or 9 AM-5 PM). Saturdays, holidays, and availability for all major sales events are required.
