Job description

The Ropes Course Facilitator leads groups of diverse participants through team-building and ropes course experiences, with a focus on bullying prevention, leadership development, communication, team bonding, and adventure recreation. Facilitators work primarily outdoors and model a fun, supportive, and growth-oriented environment for both participants and peers. This is a full-time, seasonal position running from April through November.

Essential Functions

  • Assists the Lead Facilitator in guiding large and small groups through a progression of team-building activities, including low ropes elements, high challenge course elements, and reflective discussions aligned with program goals
  • Facilitates programs in a safe, inclusive, and outcome-oriented environment
  • Uses the ropes course to help groups recognize and safely reach their potential, fostering self-confidence, positive group dynamics, and problem-solving skills
  • Operates in accordance with local operating procedures
  • Participates in required trainings and ongoing professional development opportunities
  • Demonstrates flexibility with scheduling changes and customer service needs
  • Assists with property maintenance in a safe and effective manner
